Monique Thoonsen is an expert in sensory processing, writer, and educator. Fascinated by how the senses shape daily life, she has dedicated her career to helping others understand and support sensory needs.
Her journey began in the 1990s while working in the U.S.A., where she studied with Sensory Integration International, founded by Dr. Jean Ayres, the pioneer of Sensory Integration Theory.
Monique has authored several books in Dutch and English, including Sensory Solutions in the Classroom and Making Sense of Your Senses. Through SensoMatters, she continues to share this passion worldwide, turning scientific insights into everyday understanding.
